"Without
hesitation, SUSHI ISLAND at 397 Main Street Wakefield, MA is the
best in the state. Where else can you find a Japanese trained sushi
chef-owner AND nightly Jazz entertainment from his famous Japanese
Jazz singer wife? The selections beat Oga and Fugiku. Junji Aoki
trained in Japan and worked at Takeshima before buying this Hidden
Jewel. Most of the customers travel from Boston to enjoy his Fresh
and artful work. Just wish it was closer."
"I have to 2nd the nomination for SUSHI ISLAND Main
Street in Wakefield as the best spot in the state. I have been to
most places in Boston and they do not compare. Besides outstanding
sashimi and sushi, I highly recommend their Wasabi Tobiko and
Hamachi Tempura Maki. And the albacore sashimi is like butter."

"We started going
to Sushi Island when they had their little store front on Princess
St. The new location is gorgeous, the food is really, really, good
(compares to the sushi you'd find in Boston), and the owner and his
wife are so incredibly welcoming."
"Where else can
you sit down and enjoy great sushi that is reasonably priced and
have the sushi chef's wife sing blues for your dinning pleasure."

"Do you ever eat at
Sushi Island in Wakefield?
I gig there every once in a while... worth it just for the free
killer sushi they give me!"
"And better yet,
about once a month I perform at Sushi Island right on
Main St.,
Wakefield! Arguably the best Sushi restaurant in Eastern
Mass!"
